Born in 60 BBY into the noble House Thranta of Alderaan, Severin Thranta was raised within a family that valued prestige, tradition, and political achievement.His parents were both Republic political advisors, and from an early age, Severin was expected to follow in their footsteps.Yet despite their expectations, they rarely treated Severin as though he was capable of meeting them.Nothing he accomplished seemed sufficient.His academic achievements were dismissed as expectations rather than accomplishments, his political ideas frequently brushed aside, and his attempts to contribute to family discussions were often met with indifference.His parents were not openly cruel to him, but they simply did not seem particularly interested in what he had to say.So.. Severin learned to listen instead. Keeping to himself and observing everything and everyone around.He studied politics, history, diplomacy, economics, and military strategy with an almost obsessive determination whilst partaking in his family's traditional breeding and training of the royal Thranta flocks: developing discipline and patience alongside his academic pursuits.For much of his childhood, Severin felt as though his intelligence and knowledge was useless. Then... he met Bail Organa.

Bail was one of the first people who genuinely listened to Severin and took his political ideas seriously, debated them with him, and encouraged him rather than dismissing him completely.Becoming close friends, growing together through Alderaan's academic and political circles. For Severin, Bail became more than a simple friend. He became a mentor.Bail remained committed to Alderaan's democratic principles and the ideals of the Republic as they grew older, while Severin became increasingly pragmatic and concerned with the realities of political power.When Bail became Senator of Alderaan, their relationship completely 180'd.Bail was suddenly surrounded by advisors, representatives, politicians, and responsibilities, and Severin was no longer the young man whose opinions Bail could simply sit down and discuss for hours.Their friendship remained, but the dynamic that Severin had cherished began to disappear.For the first time since childhood, Severin once again felt useless and pushed aside.

Rather than leaving politics for good, he pushed himself further into it.Leaving Alderaan, and pieces of his past, to find himself serving as an advisor to Senator Kuna Talle of Korannin.But all this changed when Supreme Chancellor Palpatine noticed him mixed in the crowd of Senate's.He recognized Severin's ambition, intelligence, power, authority willingness to operate quietly.Their relationship developed discreetly, with Severin becoming more and more useful to the Chancellor's larger political plans as years went by.Then came the opportunity.While serving under Senator Kuna Talle, Severin secretly arranged for one of her guards to poison her drink, but before the assassination, he promised the guard that his loyalty would be rewarded: that once Severin took the senator's position, he would guarantee the man's safety and future.During a toast celebrating hope for the Republic, Kuna Talle suddenly collapsed.Severin immediately performed his role, appearing shocked by the senator's death and condemning the guard for betraying her. He ordered authorities to take him away.The guard subsequently executed, taking any and all of Severin's involvement with him.

With Kuna Talle dead, the position of Senator of Korannin was suddenly vacant, and Severin the obvious candidate.Palpatine personally appointed him as her successor, publicly presenting Severin as the most qualified person to restore stability to Korannin.Privately, however, the appointment had been anticipated for quite some time.It was part of their plan. The bigger picture, placed exactly where Palpatine wanted him.When the Republic finally fell and the Galactic Empire was declared, Severin adapted without hesitation.His political career continued under the new regime, where his ability to present himself as a reasonable, educated, diplomatic statesman made him useful to the Empire.To the public, Severin remained polished and composed, but underneath that carefully maintained image was the same child who had spent years being ignored.Only now, he had a new name, power and influence beyond the furthest crevices of the Galaxy.A planet feeding the Empire like an artery to a beating heart, only Severin controls the valves.

appearance:

Severin is a sharp-featured man with short obsidian colored hair featuring gray sides, blue eyes, neatly trimmed facial hair and an almost always fixed composed, stern expression.He has a lean, mature build and wears a dark, high-collared tunic with subtle gold detailing and a deep burgundy cloak draped over one shoulder.He's often not seen with any weapons, but he has two blades and a singular blaster kept on him at all times.

006He enjoys expensive Alderaanian tea
007Serevin has complicated feelings about Bail Organa: genuine affection from their youth mixed with resentment over how their careers diverged
008He genuinely believes he made Koraanin stronger, even though his methods became increasingly authoritarian.
009His biggest weakness is probably his inability to completely let go of the past—especially Alderaan and Bail.
010Serevin is frighteningly good at lying without technically saying anything false.
011Severin has a personal hatred towards B1 Droids. Simply because they take too long to answer, and usually the answer is... not what he wants to hear.

Korannin

Korannin ( pronounced kor-ANN-in ) is a cold, temperate world known throughout the galaxy for its diplomacy, scholarship, intelligence networks and political influence.It harbors one sun and two moons. Its climate consists of long, chilly winters, mist-covered forests, mountain ranges, and cool coastal regions.Rather than being a heavily industrialized world, Korannin is a quiet planet that is developed around universities, diplomatic institutions, archives, observatories, and government centers.Its geographic isolation and highly educated population makes it an ideal location for reconnaissance, intelligence analysis, communications monitoring, and diplomatic intelligence.During the Empire's rise, and Severin's rule, these existing institutions were gradually absorbed into Imperial intelligence operations.The planet, and its people, became particularly valuable for gathering information on Outer Rim movements, rebel activity, political dissidents, and potentially hostile systems.Korannin was and still is a rather peaceful planet, until it is provoked or threatened.

Korannin's Crest

The Korannin Crest was made to establish its connection to the Galactic Empire and be a symbol of the Korannian people and its leadership.At its center is an open book, symbolizing knowledge, scholarship, and the preservation of history.Rising above the book are two moons, to symbolize the planet itself, surrounding a radiant four-pointed star to symbolize the planets core.The outer ring represents Imperial authority and Korannin's incorporation into the Empire.

Korannin's old Motto;

Knowledge guides the hand, peace guides the mind.

Korannin's new Motto;

The mind bound to duty, the galaxy bound to order.
